  • Bread
  • One of the foods that you should not store in your fridge is bread. The bread dries out and stalls in the refrigerator much quicker, so why would you want to store it in the fridge? It will be a much better option to store it in a cool, dry location instead. Thus by doing so, you can store other things instead of bread.

  • Avocado
  • Besides bread, avocado is another food that needs not to be stored in the fridge. By placing them in the fridge, they will go from rock hard to mush rather than ripening. Keep it in open brown bags and coat it with a banana if you have to speed up the process. However, once cut, they will better stay in the fridge.

  • Cucumber
  • It's a simple error, but the storage of cucumbers in the refrigerator makes them watery and pitted. It is best to pack them into the plastic to reduce humidity if you want to cool it.

  • Onion
  • They don't belong to the salad drawer and they should be chunked out from there! They best work in dry and ventilated areas. But put them in a dark place, or they will germinate. And don't forget that you can freeze the remainder if you need just half an onion.

  • No matter where you keep it, Honey will never contaminate. So, you can store something else instead of honey in your fridge.

  • Garlic
  • If there is less space in your fridge, it's fine to keep the garlic in a dry, ventilated area.

  • Tomatoes
