Aesthetics is important, but that’s not all. It is essential to have the best technologies available to cook well and with pleasure. ILVE puts all its experience and research at your service, offering solutions that combine top-level performance and maximum simplicity, safety and user-friendliness: to always guarantee the best satisfaction.

Cooktop (Hob) Technologies

Induction Cooktop (Hob)

Majestic induction cooktops (hobs) are a safe, fast and functional way of cooking, using the latest technology combined with a sleek and refined design. Ease of cleaning, energy saving, safety, versatile temperature control and cooking speed are some of the advantages that induction provides, helping to facilitate the preparation of dishes and recipes.

Residual Heat Indicator

Indicates that the glass is hot and therefore, one should be careful when touching it and when placing items on it as they might be damaged.

Timer with Automatic Stop

Turns off the active zone once the set time elapses.

Bridge Control

Induction cooktops (hobs) that have this feature, provide the option of simultaneously controlling 2 adjacent zones with a single command as if they were a single zone.

Booster Function

Allows you to focus all the power of the induction cooktop (hob) in the preset zone, to speed up the boiling and cooking times.

Slide Controls

This handy “touch control” system makes it possible, for example, to increase or decrease the operating temperature by sliding your finger from right to left or vice versa.

Child Safety

Once this function has been set and until it is disabled, the induction cooktop (hob) does not turn on by turning on the controls.

Overheating and Liquid Spill Protection

If the cooktop (hob) overheats or liquid spills occur, a safety device trips and stops operation.

Oven Technologies

The Ovens: Grand Size and Performance.

Any single or double combination oven you choose, will provide you with all the space you need, even for large dishes. Our 40-inch range has an oven capacity up to 4 cubic feet.

FAQs
▼ Do the Majestic II and Panoramagic models support a 12-hour (AM/PM) clock format?
Yes.The Majestic II and Panoramagic models offer a selectable 12-hour clock option. The Nostalgie and Professional Plus models, however, are designed to operate exclusively using a 24-hour clock format.

For additional information on navigating the Majestic II and Panoramagic TFT touchscreens, please watch the tutorial below.

▼ What is the extra metal bar that came inside the range carton? Am I required to install it?
That is the anti-tip bracket, and yes, it must be installed for safety. For more information, view the Anti-tip Bracket Installation Guide .
▼ What is the average pre-heat time to 350 degrees on a conventional cooking mode?
Preheat time varies by model, but most ILVE ranges can reach 350°F in under 10 minutes when using Quick Start mode .
Standard conventional preheat may take longer depending on model and oven size.

▼ What pot size and pans can I use for induction?
The size and shape of your cookware play an important role in induction cooking performance. For the best results, choose pots and pans with a flat, smooth, and magnetic bottom to ensure proper contact with the cooktop. The cookware base should match the diameter of the induction burner for even and efficient heat distribution.

Common cookware sizes that work well with ILVE induction cooktops include 8-inch and 10-inch pans and 3-quart saucepans.
▼ How do I reset my oven thermostat?
If your ILVE oven is not heating as expected, the safety thermostat may need to be reset. This can happen after a power interruption or if the oven has temporarily overheated as a safety precaution.

The video below provides step-by-step instructions on how to safely reset the oven thermostat.

If the oven does not return to normal operation after completing the reset, please contact our service team for further assistance.

▼ Can this range be placed directly against the back wall, or does it require space for the gas and electrical connections?
Yes, ILVE ranges can be placed against the back wall. However, they also require proper clearances for electrical and/or gas connections. For gas cooktop models, a stainless-steel splash guard is included and required for high-output gas ranges.

Refer to the manual for exact spacing and connection requirements, including Majestic II (pg. 9), Panoramagic (pg. 13), Nostalgie II (pg. 12), and Professional Plus (pg. 12).
▼ Does this range use a standard 4 prong 30amp dryer outlet? Does anyone have a picture of the cord included with the oven?
No. A three-prong outlet or standard dryer outlet cannot be used. ILVE induction ranges, being all electric, have higher power requirements than all gas or dual fuel ranges. ILVE ranges require either: a NEMA 14-50, 4-conductor, UL-listed range cord, or direct hard-wiring to LLNG (Licensed Local National Grid / electrical supply as required by local code).

Please note that ILVE induction ranges need between 47.5 to 74 amp 240V service . Because the induction units are all electric, they may require an upgrade in electrical service to the wiring that will connect your new induction range.

▼ What size vent hood should accompany this? How many CFM?
ILVE ranges do not require a specific CFM minimum, but a vent hood is strongly recommended for optimal performance and to remove cooking odors, smoke, and heat ILVE offers hoods in sizes that match the range width (30", 36", 40", 48", and 60").

For best results, choose a hood that is at least the same width as your ILVE range. Explore our available options on our ILVE Range Hoods page.
▼ Can the oven be set in 5 degree increments?
On ILVE Nostalgie and Professional Plus, the oven temperature is controlled by a thermostat knob with a range of 200°F to 550°F. You can adjust the knob between the printed markers for more precise control, but the settings do not display exact 5-degree increments.

On ILVE Majestic and Panoramagic models operate differently. These ranges use the TFT digital display, which allows you to set the oven temperature in precise 5-degree increments.
▼ How do I use the rotisserie in my oven?
To use the rotisserie function in your ILVE oven, follow the step-by-step instructions in our detailed guide. The guide walks you through proper setup, securing the food, and safely operating the rotisserie for optimal results.

Read our how-to blog for complete instructions: How to Use the ILVE Rotisserie Oven.
▼ Is the space under the oven door a warming drawer?
For ILVE ranges, the lower compartment varies by model. Most ILVE ranges include a warming drawer, but this feature is not available on 30-inch units or on Limited Edition ranges.
▼ Is there a digital read-out of the temperature inside the oven?
Whether an ILVE oven has a digital temperature readout depends on the model. The Nostalgie II and Professional Plus ranges do not include a digital display for the oven temperature.

In contrast, the Majestic and Panoramagic models are equipped with a digital temperature readout, allowing you to monitor the oven temperature throughout the cooking cycle.
▼ Is this model equipped with a meat probe?

Yes. All ILVE range series are equipped with a meat probe.

Below are the steps for setting up the meat probe on Majestic II models:

  1. Ensure the oven is completely cool and turned OFF.
  2. Locate the probe socket in the top-left corner of the oven cavity. Open the protective cap and insert the meat probe.
  3. Once connected, the display will show “ON”, confirming the probe is properly detected.
  4. Tap the left display box with the probe icon, then tap it again to select the desired cooking mode.
  5. Press the Oven Menu to choose the cooking function and heat direction.
  6. Return to the main screen to set both the oven temperature and the probe target temperature.

For a visual walkthrough, watch the Majestic II meat probe setup video below.

▼ Can I use the oven without the convection fan?

Yes. ILVE ovens can be used without the convection fan. Traditional cooking modes such as Conventional Oven, Browning, and Slow Cooking operate without convection, making them ideal for recipes that do not require air circulation.

For additional details on available cooking modes and their recommended uses, please refer to the ILVE Oven Functions guide or watch the video below.

▼ Can I install this range in my kitchen island?
Yes. ILVE ranges can be installed in a kitchen island.

  • 4.3 Inch Full Touch Display
Thanks to TFT technology, the display assures superior readability, displaying every function with clear and immediate graphics.
