This fireplace can be recessed or wall-mounted with its unique blue and orange flame combination. It’s ideal for installations in porches, patios, and poolside areas. Experience the realism of the Outdoor Sideline® electric fireplace, with its 3 color flame, creating a real flame experienced. With five flame settings and three flame colors, you can easily customize the ambiance. The included remote control allows convenient control of the lifelike flame display, resembling a gas flame.
Designed for easy wall-mount installation, the Outdoor Sideline® is compatible with various surfaces, including brick, stone, and stucco. The package includes a mountable bracket and clear installation instructions, ensuring a hassle-free setup. This outdoor electric fireplace is designed for use in temperatures up to 70 °C (158 °F). Direct sunlight can raise temperatures behind the glass above this limit and cause damage. In hot weather or direct sunlight, keep the fireplace covered when not in use. Use a light-colored, breathable outdoor cover to help reflect heat and allow airflow.
1. Can this fireplace be installed outdoors?
Yes. This fireplace is designed and rated for outdoor use. Unlike our indoor fireplaces, outdoor models do not include a heater. The fireplace includes a GFI-protected power cord and is safe for installation in outdoor living spaces.
2. Can this fireplace be installed below a TV?
Yes. This fireplace is designed for installation below a TV. We recommend installing the fireplace at least 6 inches from the floor and allowing at least 8 inches of clearance between the top of the fireplace and any TV, mantel, or other object mounted above it.
3. Is this fireplace hardwired or plug-in?
This fireplace can be installed using the included 72-inch power cord and a standard 120V outlet, or it can be hardwired during installation.
4. Is installation hardware included?
Yes. This fireplace includes a wall-mount bracket and the hardware required for most standard installations. Depending on your wall construction or installation method, additional hardware may be required.
5. What’s included in the box?
The package includes the electric fireplace unit, a faux fire log, clear crystals, remote control, and an installation guide.
Can this be installed in the wall that is next to tub?
This outdoor-rated fireplace is also suitable for indoor use, but it is important to note that it does not include a heater. As mentioned in the owner’s manual, the fireplace must never be located where it could fall into the bathtub or another water container. Please follow all installation requirements in the manual and applicable electrical and building codes.
I’m looking for a fire place insert for a wall with no heat just decorative flames

Can this outdoor model 80017 share plug with flat screen TV and cable box?
Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. The draw is less than 3 amp since there is no heater with the 80017.

Yes, the 80017 Sideline Outdoor/Indoor can be either wall mounted or recessed into the wall.
